| GLOBAL WARMING A PROBLEM OF THE TIMES
Global warming is theoretically known to be
caused by greenhouse gases from the emissions of burning
fossil fuels. With the onset of global warming can and is melting the polar ice-caps. This reduction in the polar ice caps could theoretically raise the oceans 20 feet. This effect would cover Manhattan as well as most coastal communities. What can we do? 1. Driving less can reduce daily outputs of greenhouse gases. 2.Buying and driving more gas efficient automobiles. There are cars now that can get more than 70 mpg) 3.Bicycle, and walk more. 4.Seek out and apply alternative energy sources. 4. We will be offering more information in the near future. www.nationalcenter.org/Kyoto.html www.solar-center.stanford.edu/sun-on-earth/glob-warm.html |
